NIKO

About

I'm Niko, a Danish product and strategy operator based in London. Until April 2026, I was Product Lead at Encord, an AI infrastructure company helping teams curate, annotate, and evaluate data. I joined as Encord's first product manager and stayed as the company grew from 10 to 180 people, through its Series C.

What I'm doing now

I'm currently taking a deliberate break to think about what to build next, with a growing interest in founding a startup. I'm especially drawn to the intersection of AI, climate, and the systems shaping our future.

Background

My background sits at the intersection of business, strategy, technology, and international experience. At London Business School, I was involved in the Tech & Media Club and served as VP of Treks. I also have roots in Copenhagen Business School and AIESEC Denmark.

Before moving into product, I worked at the Danish Embassy in Beijing, helping Danish businesses navigate the Chinese market. That experience shaped my interest in geopolitics, markets, and the forces that influence how organisations operate.

Outside work

I write and think about climate, AI, geopolitics, history, and fiction. I'm also interested in experimenting with small AI agents, tools, and hardware projects.

A line I return to

“Remember, remember, this is now, and now, and now. Live it, feel it, cling to it. I want to become acutely aware of all I've taken for granted.” Sylvia Plath
